Thermodynamic and exergoeconomic analysis of a multi-generation gas-to-X system based on fuel-rich combustion to produce power, hydrogen, steam and heat

Besides paying more attention to renewables, developing efficient multi-generation systems fed by currently available energy sources is another pathway sustainable development. Meanwhile, hydrogen production will play a key role in the green transition. The present work investigates gas-to-X system produce power, hydrogen, steam, and heat from thermodynamic economic points of view. proposed includes gas turbine, water shift reactor, membrane, inverted Brayton cycle recuperated organic Rankine cycles. partial oxidation rich mixture combustion chamber turbine results presence considerable amount products, through which, addition generating power heat, there can also be production. Results showed that cost produced ranges 8.13 2.12 $/kg overall exergy efficiency 54 62% for equilibrium ratios 1.65–2.9. Besides, generated total rate at an ratio 2 obtained 47.7 $/MWh 248 $/h, respectively.
